In the new version

A. para.2 inoreases the amount to be paid on

dismissal from months wages to 1 month's.

para.3 is omitted as it is implied in the second

part of 2.

para.5 The new Version for bids "large merchants"

to join unions at all.

para.7 is omitted in the new regulations.

B. para.1 The new Version omits the words "without

the authority of Government!.

para.4 The original version permits by

implication the organisation of "picket

corps". The new version omits referense

to these and incorporates para.6 of the

original version in this section.

para.6 See original para.7.

C. para.1 The definition of a small handicraftsman

is altered by the substitution of "3" for

*5* in the original.

para.3 Small handicraftenen are only to be allowed

to work during a strike if they are not

sanbers of a union.

D.

The Regulations for essential industries

are peculiar to the new version.

You will observe that the revised rules

are more moderate that the draft in some respects

and that some of the obvious abmurdition have been

omitted.
